We're extremely excited to announce some changes to our guest coffee program. In addition to the stellar coffees that we're currently offering from Durham, NC based Counter Culture Coffee and Oakland, CA based AKA Coffee, we will be rounding out the retail shelves and filter program with some single origin offerings from several different roasters from all over the United States. We're thrilled to be adding Ruby Coffee Roasters, Huckleberry Roasters, and Máquina Coffee Roasters.
Our friends at Ruby Coffee Roasters have been thoughtfully roasting "colorful coffees" in Northern Wisconsin since 2013. The Purple Llama team has been fortunate to visit the Ruby roasting facility and tasting room on several occasions and we have been consistently floored with their fastidious approach to sourcing, roasting, and quality control.
Denver based Huckleberry Roasters have been consistent friends and sounding boards for us since we began this project several years ago. We were stoked to offer some of their coffees to the residents of Logan Square at the Comfort Station on this year's Record Store Day in collaboration with Chicago-based reissue record label, The Numero Group and we are thrilled to broaden our relationship with them.
Our friends at AKA Coffee introduced us to Gabe Lucas, founder of Máquina Coffee Roasters, while on a visit to their former Berkeley roasting space in the Spring of 2014. Gabe has been very enthusiastic about our project since we met him and we were super excited when we heard the news last year that he moved with his family from the Bay Area to Pennsylvania in order to launch his own roasting company.
We have been busy cupping and evaluating current offerings from each of the roasters mentioned above, and will be bringing on fresh and exciting coffees for you to try! Check out our In Rotation page for detailed information on each coffee and keep an eye out on our retail shelves for fresh arrivals.
